Since later twenties, the industrial design gave birth to many
styles of radio receivers. Even considering many of them were related
to famous designers either in Europe as well as in the USA, such
as Henry Dreyfuss, Walter Dorwin Teague, etc, some types were never
patented. Certainly, it is not an easy task to track the evolution
of the domestic radio receiver styles. Usually international organizations
devoted to the preservation and study of the history of electronics
generally classify the domestic radio receiver types considering
the topology of the electrical circuit used as already commented
in chapter 3.
In the following pictorial evolution of the domestic radio receiver
it was considerer the type of material used in the conception of
its several styles and design.
